Riposo began in 2021 with a single stone hut on the Mani Peninsula in Greece, two hammocks, and a wooden box for the phones. We were burnt out, in our thirties, and sceptical that another wellness retreat would do the trick.
The rule was straightforward: no screens for three days. The Mediterranean did the rest. Friends asked to come. Then strangers. Then we found a second cabin in Puglia, then a third in Mallorca.
Today there are 38 cabins across six countries. Every one is owned by a local family, restored with their hands, and operated by people who actually live nearby. The phones still go in the box.
